Open Question: How's the beginning of my 1st chapter?

"Zoey!," someone shouted in the distance. It sounded nothing over a whisper. I could barely understand what the voice was saying. It was difficult to make out the words. I felt so far away and with every second I grew farther. arrive on. receive up. Open your eyes! Why couldn't I open my eyes? What if they were already open? Oh god, please, don't let me be blind. "Zoey you have to wake up. Now!" I could sense the voice's urgency. Their panic was pouring every around me. And light. I could look light. Slowly, everything began to arrive into focus. I was outside, lying on the ground. There was a boy hovering over me, consern clearly streaked across his face. "Who are you?," I asked chokeing on the words. I was suprised that I got that much out. My throat felt so dry. "Are you alright?," he asked avoiding my question. Did he not here me? Maybe I spoke too low. "Who are you?" For a few seconds he just looked at me with deep green eyes, eyes that seemed to make everything else disappear. They held an ancientness that I couldn't explain. It gave me shivers. "Milo." "W-what?" I shook my head still dazed. "The name's Milo and you'd be Zoey. Right?" "How do you know my name?" I was getting more and more confused by the second. "Well now that we both know each other," he stood and offered me his hand. I grabbed his hand so he could tug me up. Everything was so different here. Everything was so odd. I gazed up at a purple sky and automatically reached for my hair. Yellow rose petals were falling every around me from the sky. I marveled at my new surroundings. Even the grass was peculiar; it was autumn colored. Well I'm certainly not in Kansas anymore. Smileing inside, I asked, "Where am I?" Milo chuckled, rubbing his hand through his short, shaggy black hair. Now that we were standing I saw he was very athletic/muscular built, his shirt clinging to his body. He wore a white t-shirt, a black leather jacket with a gray hood, a pair of dark blue-jeans, and some black and white colored sneakers. Milo was gorgeous I had to admit, but in a dark way. There was just something about him that screamed danger. I had butterflies in the pit of my stomach, but I was careful not to show it. Guys like this could odor fear. "Are you going to keep ignoring me or are you actually going to answer?" Milo gave an amused look. "You're a real fiesty one aren't you?," he asked still smileing. "We dollface are in *****." "*****?," I asked puzzeled. "What is that like in South America or something?" "Ummm, no," he laughed. "Not exactly." He stared at the ground for awhile, his mind some place else, like he was trying to find the words he wanted. "Do you remember anything that happened? How you got here or anything at every?" Milo seemed a bit annoyed. Although I couldn't understand why. I stood silently trying to let the memories flood me, trying to remember what the hell exactly happened to me. My brain was clouded and it felt like a headache was comeing on. "I...I was on my way home. Wait, no, that's not right. It was me and, Matty, my older brother. I had just picked him up from Dylan's home because his truck would not start. We were about ten minutes from the home. But something went wrong?" Gosh! Why couldn't I remember? I've never been so confused and frustrated. What was wrong with me? Milo was still watching me, impatiently waiting for me to finish. I just shook my head. He sighed clearly aggravated and kicked one of the trees that surrounded us in this little clearing. A surge of uneasiness shot through me like a rocket. Not safe. close up, I told myself. I really didn't want to bring on an episode of hysteria. The smart thing to do was stay calm. So I did my best to keep chilly. Who was this 'Milo' anyway? Opinions? So there is the beginning, but I'm not sure what it should really be ABOUT?? But not vampires.
